What We Do

WHAT WE DO – Our self-help education programs deliver information to women by way of the Internet. Research is the key to the quality and success of our programs.

There are hundreds of Internet websites that claim to help women with various problems and concerns.  When you type a question, subject, or any entry into a search engine, you receive more responses than you can possibly review.

Search engines are generally inefficient in selecting the “best” information resources available.  Finding the best information requires a lengthy and time-consuming process of searching, reviewing, and evaluating websites. We do that for you.

On-going research into key issues affecting women’s lives is at the heart of our information programs.  We do the searching.  We do the reviewing.  We analyze and evaluate information resources to determine which can provide you with the best and most accurate assistance.

Much of the “best information” appears on very complex websites.  We determine the optimum ways to present information sources of value. Our “Self-Help Information” is one shining example.  We DON’T just point you to a vast collection of information.  We want you to find answers and solutions in the easiest possible manner.

This process requires that we find websites providing the information you want and need. The UWOA must supply the most suitable “delivery” websites.  A single UWOA website cannot take into account regional and local differences related to your personal situation. To deliver more meaningful results, we are currently developing a very large network of websites … the UWOA Network.

Our most important money-saving program involves our advertisers.  They help us provide lower-cost shopping alternatives for women. You will save as you shop.  Promotions, deals, and lower prices will be available to you through the UWOA Network.

The UWOA also provides you with money-saving ideas and financial suggestions through our self-help education programs.  Review these information resources using our Information Finder.  You will find many great ideas for organizing your financial affairs and reducing your living expenses.

THE UWOA DOES NOT PROVIDE DIRECT FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE TO INDIVIDUALS. The UWOA contributes to charitable and educational organizations.  These unrelated organizations do provide assistance directly to individuals (see Participate).  We cannot respond to individual requests for assistance.  If you are an individual in need, please do not send emails or attempt to contact us directly.

The UWOA’s shopping and advertising programs are designed to generate significant contributions to worthwhile causes.  The National Breast Cancer Foundation and organizations helping women and children will receive our primary attention.  The Participate” option on the menu provides detailed information about our contribution programs.
